Meteor DropWatchers evaluate and optimise printhead and ink combinations using production-ready electronics that can be transferred straight to manufacturing. The DropWatcher can be used for visualisation and characterisation of drops in flight while adjusting waveform parameters using live feedback.
Meteor DropWatcher integration kit offers:
Ease of use – PC-based software with the intuitive and familiar Meteor interface.
Real-time analysis – live editing of waveform shape, voltage and grey level.
Cost effective – optional gantry and interchangeable printhead mounts available.
The same drive electronics – supporting all major industrial inkjet printheads used in production and dropwatching.
Easy integration – for existing print system for dropwatching.
Small footprint – for lab environments where space is at a premium, and flexibility of changing printhead types is required.
Meteor’s MetDrop software excels at live waveform editing, and MetViewer lets users view and measure drops at high frame rates and resolutions.
MetDrop can be used to manually adjust parameters such as voltage (per jetting assembly or trims, if applicable) and waveform settings such as pulse width, slew rates, hold times, etc.
MetViewer can measure drop volume, sweep through multiple timings to view and record drop placement accuracy and repeatability, adjust frequency through hotkeys, plot a graph of jetting characteristics such as volume over frequency, and export as a PDF or spreadsheet data.
With the latest version of MetViewer, users can now automate parameter adjustments rather than adjusting each parameter manually. This speeds up waveform development and lets businesses easily implement processes that can be followed for each ink set or printhead type.
