Detect problems before they affect print quality
Built into Meteor’s Printhead Driver Cards, Nozzle Health Technology performs an electrical test that measures the impulse response of each individual nozzle in a fraction of a millisecond.
By capturing residual oscillation through the piezo, the technology accurately characterises each nozzle’s state. The Nozzle Health Technology identifies whether the nozzle is jetting correctly or suffering from issues such as wetting, blockage, or air ingestion.
Missing nozzle compensation
When nozzle issues are detected, the print system’s software can automatically compensate for the missing nozzles using Meteor’s NozzleFix™ software, or choose to pause a print job in order to carry out targeted printhead maintenance. This flexibility ensures optimal print quality while preventing media wastage and reducing long-term operating costs.
Ink compatibility
Works with inks irrespective of the colour of the ink or the print application.
Parallel scanning
Printheads can be scanned simultaneously and independently, enabling fast, scalable monitoring.
