Meteor Inkjet is seeking a Marketing Executive for its world-wide industrial inkjet electronics and software business.
Meteor develops and sells the electronics and software used to drive industrial inkjet printheads from companies including FUJIFILM Dimatix, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Ricoh, Seiko Instruments, Toshiba TEC and Xaar. Meteor’s customers are manufacturers of digital printers serving a wide range of markets such as textile printing, ceramic tile printing, labelling, 3D printing, digital product decoration and more. With a long-established reputation in the development, supply and support of reliable, high-performance products, Meteor has secured a significant share of this global market and enjoys a loyal and growing customer base.
Reporting to Meteor’s Director of Strategy & Marketing, the Marketing Executive will be responsible for execution of the company’s marketing objectives. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Meteor team and over time will be expected to develop a deep understanding of Meteor’s markets, products, competitors, partners and customers. Responsibilities will include planning, organising and managing the company’s presence at events, creating and procuring datasheets and other marketing collateral, monitoring website effectiveness and making limited website content modifications, executing effective email and social media campaigns, writing and/or distributing newsletters, press releases and white papers, creating artwork for advertisements and other undertakings, performing basic product photography and video editing, working with technical colleagues to develop effective software and hardware demonstrators and carrying out limited team travel management.
The job is based at Meteor’s headquarters near Cambridge. Occasional travel to events such as trade shows and conferences (worldwide) may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
The candidate must be practical, creative and adaptable. The ability to work to tight timescales and to communicate confidently, accurately and professionally is critical.
The candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Exceptional written and spoken English
- At least 2 years’ working experience in a similar role
- NVQ or other Marketing qualification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- Significant experience organising and executing events on time and within budget
- Previous responsibility for social media and/or email campaigns
- Copywriting experience
The candidate ideally should also have some of the following:
- Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM
- General awareness/knowledge of the digital printing industry
- Experience planning and organising international travel
